TELECARE for Seniors & Homebound

The Telecare program of St. Francis Parish, works with our parish social ministry office to coordinate efforts to assist parishioners who may need help.

Telecare volunteers make an occasional friendly phone call to assure seniors that they continue to be an important part of our parish.  We share news about what is going on in the parish and directions on where to find help when needed.  (Telecare at St. Francis was started in January of 1995.)

Would you like to make, or receive a call?  Do you know someone who would benefit from a call?  Seniors calling other seniors is an ideal way to make new friends with similar memories and situations.  If interested, contact our Telecare Coordinator, Neil Mueller  , or, Contact: the Parish Social Ministry Office,  .

Tele-Care Ministry - Coordinator's Job Description
Past Coordinators Listed Above

Coordinator of the Tele-Care Ministry: Tele-Care offers an opportunity to be involved with St. Francis outreach without leaving your home or attending meetings.  On a monthly basis, callers check in with seniors, others who are housebound, or those who would simply like a friendly call from another St. Francis parishioner. The basic purpose of the call is to say hello and  share what's happening at St. Francis. The Coordinator's responsibility is to serve by receiving names of people
who would like calls and giving those names to people who share their time by making calls. Additionally, the Coordinator will be involved in thinking about how Tele-Care can benefit from or assist in the effort to develop a Stephen Ministry here at St. Francis.
