For all of these 
Special Collecitons:

1- an announcement is published in the weekly parish bulletin Forum,  on the week prior to & the week of the collection.

2- an announcement is submitted & read at all weekend Masses on the week of the collection. 

Contact the Parish Social Ministry Office,  .

Volunteers Needed to put together a display of information (perhps a poster and or a table). 
Examples: 
1- at the door of church before or after Masses (all six Masses on the weekend). 
2- in the Parish Activities Center during coffee and donuts on Sunday.

Request/Application

Greetings in the Name of Jesus!

Your organization may want to submit an application/request for a special collection. 

By August 1, prior to the year of the collection, send your application/request to:  Scott Wright (734-821-2121) 
Or, to: Scott Wright, St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 2150 Frieze Ave., Ann Arbor, MI 48104.

In the application/request please provide this information: 

    * a contact name;
    * organization  name;
    * address;
    * phone number;
    * e-mail address;
    * web address;
    * organizational mission;
    * a statement that you do not seek to contradict the teachings of the Catholic Church;
    * anything you think we need to know about your work; 
    * a short, 250 word description about your organization which would be published in the parish bulletin if selected for a special collection.   Please also e-mail the description to:  

The St. Francis Parish Social Ministry Office & our Parish Peace & Justice Committee will review the requests that are submitted during our meeting sometime after August 1, so, get it to us before then.  

We may consider having a special collection for an organization that helps the poor & does not already get money from our tax dollars.
