School & Parish Education Stewardship/Service Leaders

The School & Parish Education Stewardship/Service Leaders meet to plan & provide opprotunities for our children and families to model living out Catholic Social Teaching.

We will meet for brainstorming & sharing ideas twice a year (or as needed):

late August planning ADVENT.
mid October planning LENT.

This meeting helps our many groups to work together on some common projects intended for parish wide participation during special seasons.

The Pastoral Staff needs to know our:
-- Advent ideas by early September.
-- Lent ideas by early December.

In preparation for the meeting put together a list of STEWARDSHIP/SERVICE PROJECTS that you and your groups might like to organize especially during LENT/ADVENT.

We look at ways to encourage our groups to organize a multitude of diverse service projects all year long, with which the Parish Social Ministry Office can help you to coordinate the projects' scheduling, publicity, & implementation.

The Parish Social Ministry Office will maintain a chronological listing/schedule of stewardship/service projects that are initiated/organized here at St. Francis Parish & School.

The parish wide lenten project is the Habitat / Housing project
Also, the Rel. Ed. is continuing the Hondurus Mission focus;
And, the School is continuing the Mission to Home of Hope Mission to India with a BOOK SALE.
