St. Francis of Assisi Parish
  Preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation
 

At St. Francis of Assisi Parish, the sacrament of Confirmation is received in the 8th grade with preparation beginning in January of the 7th grade.  All candidates are expected to:

  • attend religious education classes 
  • commit oneself to consistent personal prayer
  • maintain an open and honest relationship with one's sponsor or mentor
  • attend Mass regularly on Sundays
  • complete all of the entires in the candidate's book
  • participate in one of the two scheduled retreats
  • willingly engage in 30 hours of community service
  • prepare an oral report about the Saint/holy person chosen for one's Confirmation name
  • complete a Confirmation interview
