Who
are we?
YA2ACHT
stands
for "Young Ann Arbor Adult Catholics Harboring
Together." At St. Francis our mission is to reach out to all
age groups. However, the goal of St. Francis'
Ya2acht Club is to
provide activities specifically geared toward
young adults in their
20's and 30's, married & single - in some cases the most resourceful
yet least tapped group in Catholic parishes today.
What
is our mission?
Our mission is four-fold.
We
will actively participate in the community - as
disciples
of Christ to share, challenge, and develop spiritually, as servants
to minister to and be enriched by serving those in need, as friends
to mature and flourish socially, as young adult
professionals
to inspire each other and grow intellectually.
What
do we do?
In the Summer of 2001 we launched
a four-week "Theology-on-Tap" series at a popular pub in downtown
Ann Arbor. This theological series, led by both lay and clerical speakers,
was consistently well attended and served "thirsty" participants with a
"pint" of practical faith to encourage and strengthen them as they seek
Christ in their daily lives. Likewise, it enabled young adults to meet
and interact with other young faith-seekers in a relaxed social atmosphere.
Still, this is just the beginning...
When
and Where do we meet?
~ "Tuesday
Ya2acht Club" - join us on Tuesdays for a different young adult
event. These events are based on our four-fold mission. Each month a Ya2acht
Club e-newsletter (via e-mail) will go out explaining the "who, what,
when where, why, and how" about each Tuesday.
Theology
On Tap
Theology on Tap is ready to start flowing again.
Instead of a concentrated 4-week session, we are trying something new this
year. We will meet on the second Tuesday of each month, August -November
and January - May.
Join us at Arbor Brewing Company, 114. E. Washington.
The night begins at 7:00 pm and will conclude at 9:00 pm.

Relationships
101
Ruth Koelling has years of
experience as a social worker, counselor, wife, mother, and active member
of St. Francis Parish. This evening she will offer her wisdom regarding
some of the fundamental aspects of healthy relationships. The first
part of the evening will be an exploration of self that enables one to
enter into a relationship in a good state and then, in the second half
we will explore what a healthy relationship looks like. Join us for
this wonderful evening.
If you have questions, contact Jen.

weekend is for both men and women. Must be 20 years of age or older
to attend. Please bring a bible. For more information and a
