St. Francis of Assisi Parish
Counseling Assistance Program
(CAP)
Have you thought recently about seeking a professional's help in addressing an issue you are currently facing but don't know where to go, or how to proceed? Our parish Counseling Assistance Program (CAP) may be able to help!

We have licensed professional therapists from our parish available several days a week to meet with you privately and confidentially at the Parish Offices. A variety of issues may be addressed within the CAP program such as parent-child-sibling conflicts; marital and relationship issues; substance abuse and addictive behaviors; work-related distress and transitions; spiritual crisis; death, dying, bereavement issues. The CAP Program is a counseling program providing a limited number of 1-hour sessions. Should more long term counseling be necessary a client will be given an appropriate referral within the community.

The Parish CAP program may be accessed by calling the Parish Office at 734-769-2550, and requesting an appointment to see a therapist. The scheduled therapist will call you to introduce herself/himself, confirm the appointment date and time, and answer any initial questions you may have. Any parishioner may access the Program.  'Parisioners' are formally registered, active contributing members of St. Francis Parish. 'Contributing' means being regularly present at Mass and participating, either by volunteer service hours with the parish and/or financial doations to the parish . The fee for each CAP session is based upon the parishioner's ability to pay - up to a maximum of $80.00 per session.  The fee of $80.may be subsidized when appropriate up to $40.00 per session.

Please call if this program sounds like it may be of help to you, or someone you know. Parish Office 734-769-2550.
